365 days from today, Toronto and 15 other municipalities across southern Ontario will welcome athletes, visitors and dignitaries from 41 countries and territories as they come here to compete in the 2015 Pan Am Games.
The city of Toronto, as well as various municipalities, will be hosting one-year countdown festivities starting today with carnival games, sport activities and live music. Additional celebrations are planned in Caledon, Hamilton, Markham, Milton, Oshawa, Welland, and St. Catharines.
The Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games will bring some of the world’s best athletes to the Greater Golden Horseshoe region, giving many Ontarians a chance to be part of the action, and highlighting the region as a hub for sport. Walters is happy to support the Pan Am games by being an industry partner that supplied and installed steel for the Pan Am and Parapan Am Aquatics Centre, the Abilities Centre, and the Pan Am Hamilton Stadium. We are extremely excited for participating athletes to perform their best in these world class sporting venues.
The 2015 Pan American Games will take place July 10-26 and the Parapan American Games August 7-15.
