Clients don’t usually look to their steel contractor to provide solutions for washroom facilities. In this case, we suggested that using a modular washroom approach, much like we provided for The Bow project, might be a good solution. Following more discussions, Walters Inc. has been awarded the supply and setting of eight washroom modules for the plant washrooms at the Halifax Shipyard. Each modules is approx. 7’-0” wide x 25’-0” long x 8’-6” high and consists of three stalls.
Each washroom module will be pre-fabricated in our plants and fully outfitted with electrical, plumbing, fixtures, drywall, cladding, and finished painting. They will then be shipped to the site and used by the site team during construction. When the project nears completion, they will then be installed in the building as the finished washrooms for the plant.
