Facts & Figures
  • 140 tons of steel for Hunter Hall.
  • Hunter Hall was topped off with a 10 Ton structural steel play roof that encloses a spring isolated double slab assembly with synthetic turf finish.
  • 5 floor depth trusses spanning 60 feet make up the 2nd and 3rd floors.
  • An interim braced frame was designed and fabricated to provide stability in construction.
  • 260 tons for townhouses. Moment framing with portions being architecturally exposed.
Our Role

Walters Inc. was responsible for the detailing, engineering, fabrication and delivery of the structure with Metropolitan Walters resourcing the installation.

Overcoming Challenges

The main challenges posed when working with existing buildings are the incorporation of new material and ensuring it fits as intended. Numerous site surveys were taken to uncover what lay beneath to help in designing connections and ensuring our steel was made to fit.
