Edward Lacroix

Vice President, Projects

In his role as Vice President Projects, Ed leads a team of experienced project managers that have diverse backgrounds in construction and steel project management. Ed also acts in a sponsorship role on major projects, overseeing projects from detailing through to completion. With a background in engineering and having worked on the client side, Ed has a good perspective for the full client experience and always works to exceed clients’ expectations.

As part of his role, Ed focuses on the human resources aspects of the Project Management division. He believes strongly in mentorship and emphasizes an approach that provides guidance, but allows for autonomy to allow team members to develop and shine. Ed has also been a part of developing the strategic direction for Walters Group.

Ed joined Walters Group in 2001 as a Project Manager / Engineer responsible for executing heavy industrial and complex commercial projects with a focus on safety, schedule, budget and unique project constraints. Prior to joining Walters Inc., he worked for an international Consulting Engineering firm overseeing the design engineering and construction of heavy industrial and design-build (turnkey) projects.

Ed is known to be a focused and fair leader that is always willing to take the extra step to help out a client or team member.

Developing a strong team is key to successfully executing projects. I consider mentorship a very important part of my role.
