On June 24, One Bloor West officially surpassed the 300-metre mark, becoming Canada’s first “supertall” building, a remarkable milestone in the nation’s architectural history.
To commemorate this achievement, Tridel hosted a special time capsule ceremony at the tower’s 300-metre elevation. Walters proudly supplied the two commemorative steel columns that now support this capsule at the pinnacle of the structure, a symbolic tribute to the project’s extraordinary journey.
As part of the event, each project partner was invited to contribute an 11×17 commemorative sheet to the capsule, featuring their company logo, a description of their role in the project, and signatures from their team. These contributions serve as a lasting record of the collaboration, craftsmanship, and shared vision that brought this record-setting tower to life.
With formwork nearing completion, the celebration marked more than just a new height; it was a moment to reflect on the innovation and dedication of every partner involved in shaping one of Canada’s most iconic skyline additions.
