It was quite a night at the 2019 CISC Ontario Steel Design Awards of Excellence & History of Strength Gala!
Walter Koppelaar Sr. (our founder) and Walter Koppelaar Jr. (our Chairman) were honoured with History of Strength awards recognizing their significant contribution to the development, advancement, and success of the Canadian steel industry over a sustained period of years. Third and fourth generation family members of our company accepted the award on behalf of Walter Koppelaar Sr.
Together with our project partners, three of our projects were also recognized with awards:
Toronto Eaton Centre Pedestrian Bridge – Award of Excellence for Projects Converted or Innovated Using Steel Category
First Canadian Place Powerhouse – Award of Merit for Projects Converted or Innovated Using Steel Category
West Block Rehabilitation Project – Award of Merit for the Architectural Category
Each of these projects required a tremendous amount of innovation and commitment by everyone involved. A huge thank you to our clients for placing their trust in us and our partners for working as a true team to bring these projects to life.
