Last week, Walters Group had the pleasure of hosting Pierre Poilievre at our Dartnall Plant. Mr. Poilievre tried his hand at welding with the help of Caitlin Raymond and engaged with our team members from both the Hamilton Plant and Head Office.
He took the time to connect with employees, taking photos and having meaningful conversations. During his visit, Mr. Poilievre also introduced Marilyn Gladu, Member of Parliament for Sarnia-Lambton, and Ned Kuruc, the Conservative federal candidate for Hamilton East, who shared their insights and support for the steel industry.
In his speech, Mr. Poilievre outlined his vision for Canada’s future, including his “Bring It Home Tax Cut” plan. He discussed how this plan aims to reduce the impact of the Carbon Tax on industries like ours and highlighted the essential role of Canadian steel manufacturing in our economy.
We appreciate Mr. Poilievre and his team for their visit and for emphasizing the importance of our industry. His time with us was a valuable reminder of the dedication of Walters Group and the significance of Canadian manufacturing.
