Walters is making significant progress over Toronto’s bustling Bay and Yonge Streets! With the Union Bridge completed earlier this year and preparations for installing the Yonge Bridge well underway, Walters successfully installed a Column and Temporary Shoring Tower in advance to support the first two girder segments on July 17.
On July 27, Walters Field Services installed the first two girders, weighing 38 and 34 tons, respectively. The third and final girder, which weighed approximately 62 tons, was successfully installed on August 10.
Walters Group is proud to contribute to such a remarkable project in the heart of downtown Toronto and we look forward completing the Yonge Pedestrian Bridge.
