Dominion Energy Warren County CCGT

Greenfield 1,370 MW natural gas combined cycle power plant. The plant uses three (3) 255 MW combustion turbines and one (1) steam turbine and was built to serve growing demand in the northern Virginia and Washington, DC area. With a more efficient natural gas, the plant is projected to save customers over $100M in fuel costs in the first year alone.

Our Role

Dave Steel supplied 4, 100 tons of structural steel for the Dominion Energy Warren County CCGT project, a 1,370 MW natural gas combined cycle power plant built to meet the growing energy demands of northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Our scope included stairs, handrails, decking and grating, all finished with an SP6 surface prep and two coats of high-performance paint for durability. By supporting the construction of this highly efficient power facility, we played a role in helping Dominion Energy deliver cleaner energy while achieving significant fuel cost savings for customers.
