First Energy Dewatering

Dave Steel Company, a Walters Group Company, supplied 800 tons of structural steel for First Energy’s 24,000 square-foot dewatering treatment facility at the Bruce Mansfield Power Plant in Shippingport, PA. This state-of-the-art facility, the first of its kind in the U.S., was designed to process waste slurry from coal burning, converting it into a dry material for safe disposal. The project played a key role in advancing environmentally responsible waste management within the power industry.
