Our Role

Facts & Figures

  • 140 tons of steel for Hunter Hall.
  • Hunter Hall will be topped off with a 10 Ton structural steel play roof that will enclose a spring isolated double slab assembly with synthetic turf finish.
  • 5 floor depth trusses spanning 60ft make up the 2nd and 3rd floors.
  • An interim braced frame has been designed and fabricated to provide stability in construction. This to be removed once the phase has been completed.
  • 260 tons for townhouses. Moment framing with portions being architecturally exposed.

Overcoming Challenges

The main challenges posed when working with existing buildings are the incorporation of new material and ensuring it fits as intended. Numerous site surveys will be taken to uncover what lies beneath to help in designing connections and ensuring our steel is made to fit.
