Hexcel produces PAN, the first step in the carbon fiber manufacturing process. The carbon fiber products produced at this plant are used in military and commercial aircraft, blades for wind turbines, rocket motors, satellites and various other products that contain carbon fiber. Dave Steel Company provided structural steel for three (3) PAN lines over a multi-year period.

Dave Steel supplied 2,350 tons of structural steel for Hexcel’s PAN production facility, supporting the manufacturing of carbon fiber used in aerospace, wind energy, and defense applications. Our scope included metal decking, stairs, and handrails, with all steel components finished to SP6 standards and coated with two layers of high-performance paint for durability. Over a multi-year period, we provided structural steel for three PAN lines, contributing to the expansion of this critical facility and its role in advanced material production.
