The Great Canadian Casino Resort (Formerly Woodbine Casino) Expansion
The Grandstand Casino (Formerly Woodbine Casino) expansion was a 5,000 seat multipurpose performance venue, multiple food and beverage offerings, two new hotels including a pool, spa and retail facilities integrated seamlessly with existing operations.
Walters was responsible for supplying, connection designs, detailing, fabricating and installing 3,300 tons of structural steel, 177,500 sq. ft. of metal deck, and miscellaneous metals for the new performance venue.
This project was on an extremely tight schedule with the site being ready for steel when we were awarded the contract. We leveraged our Model to Truck™ process to enable and fast-track steel fabrication so we were ready to serve two cranes to begin the erection process.
