Sid Dickerson jointly owns (with Walters Group) The Steel Construction Group, which specializes in small projects that require very high-quality steel. Dickerson maintains a global network of fabricated steel suppliers, ensuring that all partners meet the rigorous standards of Walters Group.
Sid has spent his entire career working in steel construction, starting with Little Rock-based AFCo Steel in the 1970s and continuing to Kansas City’s Havens Steel starting in 1986. At Havens Steel, he developed the system and network of fabricators around the world to supplement the company’s capacity while lowering prices. In 1992, he moved to Hirschfeld Steel where he helped grow the company from a small regional fabricator with an annual volume of $36 million to a national concern with annual volume of about $250 million.
