Walters Group is excited to announce our role in the Forma Condos project at 266 King Street West in downtown Toronto. Developed by Great Gulf, Dream Unlimited, and Westdale Properties, Forma will redefine the Toronto skyline with two towers soaring to 73 and 84 storeys. Designed by legendary architect Frank Gehry, Forma will be his tallest residential creation and a return to his birthplace of Toronto.
Gehry, the architect behind landmarks such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA, has designed Forma to blend modern urban living with Toronto’s architectural heritage, creating a striking contrast between contemporary design and the surrounding heritage buildings. Walters Group will supply and install approximately 300 tons of structural steel, including cantilevered canopies, backing steel, and the striking crown structure at the top of the east tower. This project, situated at the heart of Toronto’s entertainment and financial district, will offer residents breathtaking views, bespoke suites, and amenities such as wellness spaces, coworking lounges, and outdoor terraces.
In close collaboration with EllisDon and RJC Engineers, we’re proud to play a role in bringing Gehry’s remarkable vision to life.
