Walters Group was awarded six prestigious Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Awards of Excellence in Steel. CISC recognizes those who contribute to the success of Canada’s steel industry, including architects, design engineers and project teams. In celebration with our partners Cadillac Fairview, PCL Construction, RJC Engineers, Zeidler Architecture and the JNE Group, the gala event was held at the Steam Whistle Brewing in Toronto, Ontario.
The awarded projects include:
- Commercial/Residential Project – 160 Front Street West
- Commercial/Residential Project (Merit Award) – The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
- Project Outside of Ontario – The BMO Centre Expansion
- Renovations/Retrofit Project – 2 Queen West
- Institutional/Industrial Project – Algoma EAF Melt Shop Building
- History of Strength Award – Walter Koppelaar
