We are thrilled to announce that Walters Group and our partners have recently installed the North Bay Pedestrian Bridge on Bay Street, which connects CIBC SQUARE to Union Station.
The 220-ton bridge girder was shipped in a single piece by barge from Pier 14 in Hamilton to Queens Quay, Toronto. To offload and transport the girder onto 141 Bay Street, an engineered ramp was constructed at Queens Quay. Pinnacle Logistics, along with Western Mechanical Electrical Millwright Services Ltd., a reputable heavy transport company, managed the transportation logistics. The entire process took six days to complete.
