The first phase of the project involved retrofitting the main hall and a group of townhouses at Hunter Hall, while the second phase focused on retrofitting related townhouses.
Walters Inc. was responsible for the detailing, engineering, fabrication and delivery of the structure with Metropolitan Walters resourcing the installation.
The main challenges posed when working with existing buildings are the incorporation of new material and ensuring it fits as intended. Numerous site surveys were taken to uncover what lay beneath to help in designing connections and ensuring our steel was made to fit.
