Michie Stadium Preservation

Michie Stadium Preservation

The Michie Stadium Project will reconstruct and modernize the United States Military Academy’s Michie Stadium. The Stadium, home to Army football, is a critical portal through which the Academy engages and connects with America. For many Americans, this venue, built in 1924, might be the only lens through which they see and learn about West Point. For nearly a century, Michie Stadium has showcased the grit, tenacity, discipline and values of our cadet athletes and the Corps of Cadets.

For over 60 years, the east stand at Michie Stadium, the 38,000-capacity home of the Army Black Knights Division I college football team on the United States Military Academy campus in West Point, N.Y., has served the school. That service is upgraded with the Michie Stadium Preservation Project to reconstruct and modernize the east stands. Football and lacrosse will continue to be played inside the venue throughout the project.
