As a world-class waterfront condominium with spectacular views of the city, water and sky, the Pier 27 Queens Quay project involved Walters erecting two, three-storey bridges that were designed to span across the tops of the two separate buildings. The unique way the buildings connected to each other by way of the bridges complimented the condominium’s floorplan layouts which maximized space and integrated design, form and function.
Walters role was to supply, detail, fabricate and erect the two structural steel bridges that span across the top of Buildings B & D.
The site was filled with numerous trades working below the bridges on concrete and blasting, so careful planning and execution of everyone on site was imperative. Coordinating the logistics of multiple trades and multiple cranes was necessary to ensure efficient and safe work throughout this project.
