Toronto Metropolitan University’s Church Street Development is a multifunctional hub that houses academic and administrative spaces, accommodations for students in the residential tower, retail areas and four levels of underground parking garage. The building stands 29-storeys, including the mechanical penthouse and is home to School of Nutrition, the School of Occupational and Public Health, the Midwifery Education Program and the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing.
Our scope of work consisted of the supply and installation of structural steel throughout the building and included quite an array of very heavy industrial-type frames and other miscellaneous façade, stairs and hanger-type steel. We “topped off” this structure with a steel penthouse and mechanical floor.
