Facts & Figures
  • Each bridge is 65-75′ long – AESS4 finish along exposed diagonals – Across the street from the Vaughan Metro Centre (another Walters project)
  • Approximately 24 tons of steel each
  • AESS4 finish along the exposed diagonals.
Our Role

Walters’ role was to fabricate, supply and erect the two pedestrian bridges connecting three 55-storey concrete towers at CentreCourt’s Transit City East Block project in Vaughan, ON.

Overcoming Challenges

Hoisting requirements required detailed erection planning in the bid stage to ensure the protection of the AESS finish during shipping to minimize pre-assembly on-site. The bridges will be shipped in frames and pre-assembled on-site before hoisting in one pick.
