Transit City is part of the Master Plan for SmartCentres Place, which currently envisions over 17 million sq. ft. on a major nine-acre development. This includes 10 million sq. ft. of residential, five million sq. ft. of office space and two million sq. ft. of retail located next to the new TTC transportation hubs in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (another Walters project).

Walters role is the fabrication, supply and erection of the two pedestrian bridges connecting three 55-storey concrete towers at CentreCourt’s Transit City East Block project in Vaughan, ON.
Hoisting requirements required detailed erection planning in the bid stage to ensure protection of the AESS finish during shipping to minimize pre-assembly on site. The bridges will be shipped in frames and pre-assembled on site prior to hoisting in one pick.
