Tim Verhey, Executive Vice President of Operations and Engineering of the Walters Group, recently sat down with ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s Steel Design Magazine to discuss the value of heavy gauge structural steel in high-rise buildings.
In the article ‘It’s what’s on the inside that counts,’ Verhey discusses the recent completion of 160 Front Street West in Toronto and our partnership with ArcelorMittal Dofasco. Overall, more than 12,000 tons of structural steel was used in the construction of 160 Front, with the majority of that coming from the Walters Group’s fabrication facilities in Hamilton and Princeton, Ontario, and produced by ArcelorMital.
