Walters Group was honoured with the prestigious Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Award of Excellence held in Quebec. This accolade recognizes exceptional achievements in steel construction throughout Canada. Walters Group served as the structural steel trade partner on the first-ever Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model implementation contract for a bridge in Canada. The project was a result of collaborative efforts among various partners, including our steel detailing partner Tenca Inc, structural engineer Systra IBT, the City of Kingston, and Kiewit, which led to seamlessly executed fabrication and installation.

The Kingston Third Crossing Bridge, which is also known as the Waaban Crossing Bridge, spans the Cataraqui River in Kingston, Ontario.
