Walters Group takes pride in its role as a silver corporate sponsor of Small Town Cancer Fighters, a local charitable organization based in Oxford County, Ontario. Inspired by the memory of a team member’s father who courageously battled brain cancer, the organization has been raising vital funds for research, patient support, and education.
On April 27th, volunteers gathered to beautify the town and make a difference. Armed with rakes and shovels, they transformed yards, tended flowerbeds, and spread mulch with care. This community-driven effort isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about support for those battling cancer and research for a cure.
Their first Spring Yard Cleanup for Cancer event 13 years ago raised $7,000, but thanks to the generosity of the community and sponsors, they raised an impressive $737,000 this year. The Princeton facility was happy to utilize the small-town cancer cleanup crews’ services to clean up the yard and shrub beds for a fresh spring look. Additionally, Walters Group was proud to become a corporate sponsor, matching a percentage of all proceeds earned.
